NZLF Distinguished Visiting Fellow for 2020 announced

The Law Foundation is delighted to announce that Professor Liz Fisher of the University of Oxford is our 2020 Distinguished Visiting Fellow.
Liz is Professor of Environmental Law in the Faculty of Law and Corpus Christi College University of Oxford. Her work has been at the cutting edge of exploring the way in which law and institutions evolve to address environmental problems.

Professor Fisher will be hosted by the University of Auckland’s Faculty of Law, and will give a variety of public lectures and staff seminars in each of NZ’s Law Schools during her visit in August 2020.

Professor Fisher has put forward the following topics for her presentations:
– Imagining Environmental Law Futures
– Legislating for the Environment
– Adjudicating for the Environment
– Administrating the Environment – public administration
– International Environmental Law
– Environmental Justice?

Final details about Professor Fisher’s public lecture topics and dates will be released in 2020.

Law Foundation has awarded up to $40,000 towards the costs of bringing Professor Fisher to New Zealand as our 2020 Distinguished Visiting Fellow
