Justice Minister Adams commends the work of the Foundation

Hon Amy Adams, Minister of Justice and Minister for Courts, was the keynote speaker at the NZ Law Foundation’s Annual Awards Dinner held on 3rd December 2015 at Te Papa in Wellington.

Minister Adams commends Law Foundation funded research and highlights the value of the cooperative agreement between the Ministry of Justice and the Foundation. She highlights the mutual benefits that have come from helping each other on projects such as the Law Foundation funded research on the evaluation of the 2014 Family Law reforms and the research into delays in progressing Civil cases. The Minister concludes her speech by talking about the government’s justice priorities of: reducing crime, introducing new legislation, reforming 1956 Trustee Act, combating family violence and providing better support for victims of sexual violence and other crimes.
