Book launch - The New Zealand Project by Max Harris

“The New Zealand Project”, funded by the Law Foundation, was launched on Tuesday 11 April 2017 at the Royal Society of New Zealand in Wellington.

This ambitious project by an exceptional young New Zealander confronts the challenges that New Zealand will face in the coming years. Max’s analysis ranges across foreign policy, constitutional reform, race relations, education, health, environment, workplace regulation, homelessness and penal policy with a perceptiveness and insight belying his 28 years. He asks why New Zealanders seem disengaged with the politics that will shape our future. Max, a Rhodes Scholar, provides an “unashamedly idealistic” vision for New Zealand that demands new conversations about our country’s future.

The book, available for purchase in bookstores since 10 April, is published by Bridget Williams Books, hosts for the launch.
